"We (the Dave Mathews Band) used to play in this club, Eastern Standard, that held about 35 people. We were playing in the window. I used a snare drum, a hi-hat, and my kick drum was the floor. The floor was hollow, so I would stomp on it. We put a mike on it and it was this awsome kick drum sound." Carter Beauford ©Drummer's Almanac.
